Chen Chess Coach is operated for this staging beta by Brian Chen in Norway. By accepting an invitation or using the beta, you agree to these terms and the Privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the beta. Questions may be sent to support@chenchess.space.
What the beta provides
Chen Chess Coach reviews completed standard-chess games and provides tailored coaching feedback through the web product and Coach Apps used in ChatGPT or Claude. It may identify Review Moments, explain verified chess facts, discuss a plan, and explore alternatives. It does not promise a particular rating gain, playing result, or mistake-free explanation.
Invitation and account
- A beta access request is not a promise of access. Invitations are personal, single-use, bound to the invited verified email, and may be revoked.
- Keep invitation codes, passwords, sign-in links, and connected-host authorization private. Do not sell, share, or transfer access.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your Player identity and for signing out of devices you no longer control.
Fair play and acceptable use
Use Chen Chess Coach only with games that have ended. Do not use it to obtain outside assistance during a game, evade a chess platform's rules, probe another person's private data, disrupt the service, or attempt to bypass access, rate, or security controls. You must have the right to provide any PGN or public game URL you submit and must follow the source platform's terms.
Beta availability and changes
This is pre-release software. Features, host compatibility, storage formats, limits, and availability may change. Review Sessions and beta records are deliberately short-lived, and the service may be interrupted, reset, or closed. Reasonable care is taken, but the beta is provided as available without a service-level commitment.
Coaching responsibility
Coaching output is educational and may be incomplete or incorrect. Use the board and cited game context to evaluate it. You remain responsible for your chess decisions and for complying with event, club, school, employer, and platform rules.
Suspension and ending access
Access may be limited or revoked to protect Players, enforce these terms, respond to abuse, or close the beta. You may stop using the beta at any time and may request deletion as described on the Support page.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost chess opportunities, or loss caused by third-party platforms, Player devices, or use contrary to these terms.
Governing law and changes
These staging terms are governed by Norwegian law, without removing any mandatory protections available where you live. Material changes receive a new effective date and, where appropriate, notice in the product. Production requires a separate review of these terms.
